Greetings once again true believers, Valkor here. I didn't get the chance to catch Zohan in theaters, but Epic-1 (aka the Fabe) thought it was worth checking out. Well the folks at Sony Home are bring the film home with not one, not two, not three, but five different flavors, including UMD. (Wow way to stay the course!). Look for the release Oct. 7th, until then look at all the cool schtuff your gonna get. Christmas (or in this case Hanukkah) will be coming a little early this year.

Culver City, Calif. (August 14, 2008) – Sony Pictures Home Entertainment unleashes You Don’t Mess with the Zohan on DVD and Blu-ray Disc October 7, 2008.  Written by the outrageously funny Adam Sandler (Click, 50 First Dates), Robert Smigel (TV’s “Saturday Night Live,”) and Judd Apatow (Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Knocked Up), this side-splitting action-comedy follows an Israeli counter-terrorist agent with a burning passion for shagging hair…and women.  Directed by Dennis Dugan (I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, The Benchwarmers), the film stars Sandler as Zohan Dvir, an ex-Mossad super spy who fakes his death during a showdown with his diabolical arch nemesis in order to escape to New York and pursue his dreams of making the world “silky smooth.”  Rocking a throwback 1980s Paul Mitchell signature coif, Zohan loves to “make the bam-boom” with his clientele of the senior citizen variety and also exhibits a serious penchant for all things slathered in hummus.  Sandler’s hilarious antics are supported by outstanding castmates, including Rob Schneider (50 First Dates, Hot Chick), Emmanuelle Chriqui (TV’s “Entourage,” Tortured) and Nick Swardson (Blades of Glory, TV’s “Reno 911!”).  Entertaining cameos from Dave Matthews, Mariah Carey and George Takei also keep the laughter alive.

You Don’t Mess with the Zohan offers multiple behind-the-scenes featurettes, deleted scenes and two audio commentaries.  Exclusive to the Blu-ray™ Disc is "Translating the Zohan" - a Graphic-in-Picture track that translates the colorful words spoken by the characters in the film, which runs concurrently with the movie. The film will be available for an SRP of $28.96 (Original Theatrical DVD); $28.96 (1-Disc Extended DVD); $34.95 (2-Disc Fully Loaded Extended DVD); $38.96 (Blu-ray); and $24.94 (PSP).

Synopsis

Comedy superstar Adam Sandler is back – and funnier than ever – as The Zohan, the finest counterterrorist agent the Israeli army has. That is, until he fakes his death and travels to Manhattan to live his dream…as a hairdresser. Now this skilled fighting machine who used to clip bad guys is out to prove he can make the cut as a top stylist. All goes silky smooth until his cover is blown when he’s recognized by a Palestinian cab driver (Rob Schneider). Now, The Zohan must fight to live a peaceful new life in New York in this razor-sharp action-packed comedy from Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel, Judd Apatow and Dennis Dugan.
