Bugs Bunny's Easter Funnies DVD Review

Hey folks, Valkor here. The folks at Warner Home Video stopped by the Val-cave with a little pre-Easter treat (Actually a double dose of Easterly goodness). Now I'm a huge fan of The Bugs (Bugs Bunny) and the latest vid WHV is putting out is no exception. It's Bug's Bunny's Easter Funnies.

Bugs Bunny's Easter Funnies

Easter Funnies finds the Easter Bunny ill, so he calls on Granny to help him find a replacement. The obvious choice would be Bugs Bunny, but he's too busy filming his shorts. So Bugs calls upon his Looney Tunes pals Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe Le Pew, and Yosemite Sam to try and fill in his place. But Granny knows there's only one Rabbit that can fill in the Easter Bunny's shoes. The film takes new (at the time) bits interspersed with older Looney Tunes clips. Needless to say hilarity will ensue and it's great fun for the kids as well as adults.

Extras are limited to an opening trailer for "Scooby-Doo: Abracadabra-Doo". You'll also get a full short "His Hare-Raising Tale", which is the perfect addition to this DVD since it follows along the same style (or should I say the film follows along with the short). Finally you get an interactive puzzle (3 in total) when completed, it plays a clip and Charlie Brown trailers.

So what's up doc?

The Good:

Easter or not, this is a great addition to anyone who is a collector of Bugs, or parents lookin for fun flicks for the kiddies. The bits inserted aren't the full clips, but they cut right to the laughs. Yosemite Sam will have you on the floor (When I say WHOA! I means WHOA!).

The Bad:

Again, the clips included aren't the full clips; a bit chopped up.

Bugs Bunny's Easter Funnies

This Easter, why not include Bugs Bunny's Easter Funnies into the little TOVer's basket this year. Not only will they appreciate it, but the older set will enjoy checkin out some classic Bugs. Out of TOV 5 stars, I give the film 4.5 stars and it's been Valkor tested and TOV Approved.
