A few months ago, I was perusing Instagram when I came across a page called Takara Model Studio (@takaramodel), to which the byline is - We Are a Professional Customization Studio. They feature some incredible figures, so if you're into everything Gundam, you should check them out. Mind you, I'm not the biggest Gundam fan. However, even I can appreciate what is going on there. But what caught my attention and was an absolute must-buy was the Wu Cheng Hou Charging console or the MCT-AP02 Qaodio Quick Charger. Honestly, I don't care if it quick charges or not. This thing is absolutely badass!
The Wu Cheng Hou Charging Console is a bust model based on an original design from MOSHOW Toys called the MCT-AP02 ProGenitor Effect. The charging station stands roughly 6.3”, including the base. On either side, there are two USB ports – one side has high-speed charging, while the other has ordinary charging. At the front of the console is an opening for a high-speed USB-C port. An outlet power supply powers the entire console. And the base and head light up when the MCT-AP02 charging station is plugged in. With the power button at the back, you can switch the lights on and off.
The attention to detail is extremely high! And if you were to see images of the console compared to the charging station, you'd be impressed. And just because the MCT-AP02 console's design is amazing doesn't mean I won't put it through its paces. I really wanted to see how well it would do with fast charging. And in that regard, it did well. Initially, I wanted to use the charging station with my Galaxy S23 Ultra. But that puppy is tough to drain (props to Samsung for putting out a solid mobile phone). Thankfully, I had a fully drained Note 9 that would work with the quick charger. Along with the Note 9, I also plugged into the station an iPhone 12, a pair of true wireless earbuds (in their charging base), my Jabra Style headphones, and a small handheld I bought from Temu. Most devices were fully charged within an hour in the MCT-AP02, with the exception of the Note 9 and iPhone 12. The two devices were, however, adequately topped off for use. And I have to say, all these items plugged into the MCT-AP02 look insane! Wires everywhere! This might result in some mix up and potential tangles. But I haven't yet personally experienced it.
The MCT-AP02 quick charger's stunning appearance and incredible attention to detail are what initially drew me to it. I love that there is some movement in the head of the bust, though it's limited, completes the appearance of the device. To use the bust, it must be plugged into a wall outlet, and you may put it almost anywhere that has an outlet. Preferably, you want to put it somewhere that it'd get the most attention because this is a looker! I'd loved a USB power option rather than a wall plug. I get that the MCT-AP02 isn't something you'd want to take along on your travels. But having that option would have been nice. And from where I work, the plug is a bit of a reach. But I'd love it if the quick charger were near me while I did work on my laptop. Maybe with the next iteration? And I really hope there is one!

I highly recommend snatching one up! So, out of TOV 5 stars, I'm giving the Wu Cheng Hou (MCT-AP02) Quick Charging Station a perfect 5!
