Hey gang, Valkor here. The International Toy Fair is just one week away and it’s looking to be one heck of a show. The highlight for me would be getting to see BB-8, who is supposed to be there Day one. But of course it’s gonna be cool checking out all of the latest collectables, games and action figures that will grace our homes in the near future and/or holiday season. So we’re gonna kick things off with a little pre-game action, thanks to the folks at Mezco Toyz. It was a bit of a journey outside of my Jersey limits, but it was definitely worth it to see what was had on hand.

The idea for this showcase, and I’m so behind any more of these from Mezco or any company, was to give media hands on as well as up close with some of the company’s latest models. The highlight of the show was the One:12 Leonard Nimoy’s Mr. Spock Collective figure, which was placed out in the open for display, as soon as you walk in, to give media the opportunity for hands-on and unboxing vids. The attention the detail is spot on, featuring his classic Star Trek uniform as well as Vulcan “live long and prosper” salute”. The figure also comes with additional hands, an alternative head, Tricorder, phaser pistol, and display stand featuring the Science officer logo. I have to say they did an amazing job capturing not only his stern facial expression, but the attention to detail on the uniform and hand signs were also a nice touch.

Travelling further into their office, we were guided into a room where it was wall to wall figures out on display. So rather than go over the entire catalog, we’ll just cover some of my favorites. Kicking things off are figures based on one of the most anticipated films this year - Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Mezco had on display both Superman and Batman One:12 collective figures, which looks just like their movie counterparts. There was even armored Batman on hand, with an awesome level of detail.

Next up is the Punisher One:12, and I mainly love the look of this figure because of the wear and tear done to his uniform, it simply looks amazing.

Mezco had three versions of Daredevil One:12 – black costume, red costume and the classic yellow and red.

The Flash also made an appearance with both red suit and Professor Zoom version.

Finally, to finish out the superheroes, Green Arrow and Shazam were on hand, and I have to say Ollie has never looked better. His costume is amazing!

Finally, we’ll take a look at some of their horror products from the "Living Doll" series that you may or may not wish to have in your home. And I’ll admit I wouldn’t mind any of these. The below compilation features Annabelle from “The Conjuring”, an assortment of Chucky figures as well as a Chucky mask, we have Good Guy Chucky looking ever so creepy and Bride of Chucky Tiffany. And last but not least the creature from “Trick R Treat”

There was plenty other items on hand and I wish I could cover them all. But I gotta say something for Toy Fair. So stay tuned to the pages of TOV where well once again feature Mezco Toyz as well as a host of other companies from the showfloor.
