Hey gang, Valkor here. After my so-so Joker film experience, I feel I should dive into something that would wash away the “meh” of that film. And I see no better way than to dig into some tech... or gaming. But for this round, we’ll stick with tech. The gang over at 1More is going another round in the Val-Cave. And while I thought their last run in the cave with the Triple Driver headphones wasn’t what I would have expected, checking out their latest audio gear - the Piston Fit Bluetooth headphones puts 1More back in my good graces. Because, for the cost of these headphones, they sound pretty sweet!
The 1More Piston Fit looks something similar to Naztech’s Alloy wireless headphones, right down to the magnates at the back of the earbuds. But where the two differ is first with their cables as the Piston Fit has more length. And second, it’s with the magnates; the Alloy’s pauses your music or ends your call when you bring them together, while the Piston Fit continues. And just like the Alloy headphones, the Piston Fit has all the controls and its charging port on the right side. So once you're done pairing the Piston Fit with your preferred device, you’ll be ready to roll out. To complete the Piston Fit’s features, they have an IPX4 waterproof rating, so if you’re using these headphones to work out, they’ll survive if they get a little sweaty. And then there’s the battery life that touts up to 8 hours, which is good as they’ll get you through a long day of either working out, traveling or if you’re commuting.
While the Naztech Alloy and 1More Piston Fit BT look similar, they also have their differences. I like the Alloy’s shorter cable, which makes wearing it in the front easier to get around; In this way, I don’t have to deal with the cable getting tangled in my dreads. But the Piston Fit BT exceeds in sound quality, which has much better bass and doesn’t sound sharp or canny. Finally, for a pair of headphones that sound as well as these do, they’re actually quite affordable (40 bucks retail). So, do I feel 1More’s Piston Fit BT headphones are worth picking up? You better believe it! And I’ll tell you why in the TOV Breakdown!
If you’re in the market for Bluetooth headphones that are affordable and sound great, then you should consider 1More Piston Fit BT headphones. Their sound quality is pretty sweet as the vocals shine through and the bass levels hit just right. It's not as heavy or thumping as I’d like, but it isn’t light either. A good example is Ariana Grande’s “Break Up With Your Girlfriend” or Post Malone’s “Rock Star”, two songs I enjoy on repeat and that if the bass in these headphones had failed these songs, I’d have tossed them in the trash. Thankfully, the Piston Fit BT doesn’t fail in that regard. They’re also lightweight and comfortable, which means they’re perfect for a long commute or a strenuous workout. Lastly, the battery life is equally impressive and I’d say that the 8-hour life that's touted is about right as I could go a couple of work runs without having to put the headsets up for a charge session. So, with the holidays upon us, if you’re looking for a sweet pair of headphones either for yourself or to give to someone else, then look no further than 1More’s Piston Fit BT headphones.
The only area where these headphones lack is in the bass, which is still not as bad as one would think.
After my run with the Triple Driver headphones, I didn’t think the 1More’s Piston Fit BT Headphones would make the cut. But I’m glad to say that I was wrong because, for the money, these headphones are pretty impressive. They sound great, they’re very comfortable and they’re ready to take you everywhere and back again thanks to that long battery life. So, out of TOV 5 stars, I’m giving 1More Piston Fit BT Headphones a 4.5.
