Hey gang, Valkor here. As temperatures get warmer, I’m sure you’ll want something to keep things cool. And I’m coming at ya with a few summertime drink ideas I hope will do just the trick. Normally, I’ll stick with just alcoholic drinks. But for this round, I will mix things up by tossing in a few non-alcoholic brews. So, after culling around the interwebz, I bring to you, TOV’s Top 10 Summer Inspired Drink Ideas. And remember, always drink responsibly.
From Delish - Rum Sunset
- 12 oz. orange juice
- 3 oz. light rum
- 2 tbsp. grenadine
- lime slices, for garnish
Combine orange juice and rum. Set aside 1/3 of the mixture.
Pour 2/3 of the orange juice mixture into 2 ice-filled glasses. Set aside.
Mix reserved orange juice and rum with 2 tbsp. grenadine. Slowly pour into each glass so it settles on the bottom, creating an ombré effect.
Garnish with lime slices.

From Delish - Frozen Watermelon Margaritas
For Rim
- 2 tbsp. kosher salt
- 1 tbsp. granulated sugar
- Zest of 1 lime
- Lime wedge
The Drink
- 4 cup chopped watermelon
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup silver tequila
- 1/4 cup triple sec
- 4 watermelon slices, for garnish
- 4 lime rounds, for garnish
Place watermelon on a large baking sheet and freeze until hardened, at least 2 hours.
Combine salt, sugar, and lime zest on a small plate and stir to combine. Use lime wedge to wet rim of margarita glasses then dip rims in salt mixture.
In a blender, combine frozen watermelon, lime juice, tequila, and triple sec and blend until smooth. Pour into rimmed glasses and garnish with a watermelon and lime round.

Tablespoon - Non-Alcoholic Orange Slush Punch
- 1 packet (3 oz) Jell-O™ orange flavored
- 1 packet (3 oz) Jell-O™ cherry flavored
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 cups boiling water
- 8 cups orange juice
- 3 liters ginger ale
In a large bowl, stir sugar with orange and cherry Jello. Add boiling water, whisking until gelatin and sugar is dissolved.
Add orange juice, stir.
Transfer mixture to two large freezer-safe containers. Freeze overnight.
To Serve: Place mixture in a large punch bowl. Use a wooden spoon to break the mixture up. Top with ginger ale.

Woman's Day - Mason Jar Citrus Coolers (non-alcoholic)
- 1 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- Lemon slices, for serving
- Lime slices, for serving
- 6 cup club soda
In a measuring cup or pitcher, stir together fresh orange juice, lime juice, and lemon juice. Spoon sugar into each of 8 mason jars and top with juice mixture.
If desired, add lemon and lime slices. When ready to serve, fill each mason jar with ice, cover, and shake to dissolve sugar, then top with club soda.

From Country Living - Dogwood Punch
- 1 bottle sparkling rosé
- 3 cup strawberry lemonade
- 1/4 cup grenadine
- 1 sliced lemon
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 (750-milliliter) bottle prosecco or other sparkling wine, chilled
- Mint sprigs for garnish
Combine sparkling rosé, strawberry lemonade, grenadine, sliced lemon, and sliced strawberries into a large pitcher. Serve over ice and garnish with mint sprigs.

Purely Katie - Raspberry Ginger Beer
- 1 - 12oz can ginger beer
- 10 raspberries
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 oz vodka
- ice
Muddle raspberries and lemon juice together in a cocktail shaker. Add a couple of ice cubes and shake well. Strain into a glass and top off with ginger beer.

TasteofHome - Tomato-Lime Sipper (non-alcoholic)
- 1/4 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 4 celery ribs, with leaves
Dissolve bouillon in boiling water. Add next five ingredients. Cover and chill.
To serve, pour into glasses; add celery rib to each glass.

The Wooden Skillet - Blackberry Cucumber Gin And Tonic
- 8 fresh blackberries
- 3–4 slices cucumber
- 1–1.5 ounces of the gin of your choice
- 1 cup tonic
Place 5 blackberries in the bottom of your cup and smash with a fork.
Add as much ice as you would like.
Pour gin in and swirl around with the blackberries.
Add tonic.
Garnish with the rest of the blackberries and cucumber slices.

Jelly Toast - Frozen Pineapple Mango Daiquiri Recipe
- 4 oz white rum
- 2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, cubed
- 1 cup fresh or frozen mango
- 1/4 cup filtered
- 1 cup crushed ice
- pineapple wedges for garnish
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Divide between cocktail glasses and garnish with pineapple wedges. Serve and enjoy!

The Sweetest Occasion - Mango Sunrise Piña Colada
- 2 oz coconut rum
- 2 oz mango juice
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon coconut cream
- 1 tablespoon grenadine
- Fresh pineapple garnish
Add coconut rum, mango and pineapple juices to a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Shake well to combine and chill.
Pour over ice into a cocktail glass.
Add coconut cream slowly by pouring over the back of a spoon.
Add grenadine by pouring slowly over top.
