Hey gang, Valkor here. You’re mobile phone goes through a lot during throughout the day; most guys either carry it around in their pockets, messenger bag, pop it in a desk or let others use it - I mean it really goes through a lot and a most of us aren’t aware just how much – myself included. That’s why it was a pleasure during CE Week, stopping by and meeting the gang behind the product “Whoosh! Screen Shine”. And it’s not about screen cleaning, it’s all about “Tech Hygiene".
Whoosh! Screen Shine uses an all natural cleanser that a proprietary formula, which you apply once and immediately wipe off with the included anti-microbial microfiber cloth. Once completed, the Whoosh! Screen Shine removes fingerprints, streaks, oils, dirt, bacteria and other not so niceties that may be lurking on your phone, after it has gone through "whatever" during the day. It’s touted that one application creates a film so that it doesn’t attract as much “stuff” and can be good for a couple of weeks, which the smallest bottle, Whoosh! Screen Shine Pocket, is good for 100 sprays (the bottle given to review). That’s plenty of sprays for such a small bottle. But if you have bigger needs, then there’s the Screen Shine Go and also the Screen Shine Duo+, which is both the Pocket and the Go.
What about all this Tech Hygiene business? Well we do a lot with our smartphones right; it’s no longer just talk and text. He play games, check social media, make purchases, etc., we let our friends and family use our phone, some parents let their kids use it and we even let strangers make use of our mobile devices, because there are some people who are just that nice. I’m like most where I don’t think about what sort of gunk my phone may have collected or even when I use someone elses. The idea behind Tech Hygiene is to makes us aware of such things and that’s where Whoosh! comes in; to bring back the health of your devices as if it was the day it was purchased. Hell even then you might want to snag a Whoosh! because you really don't know where that mobile device was before you got it.
I took a lot of time with Screen Shine – more time than I usually do, because I wanted to see how well it works at keeping my device spotless and sanitized. So for that, we’ll have to take a dip into the TOV Breakdown.
The Bang:
Whoosh! Screen Shine delivers on its promise of keeping my phone streak-free for the two weeks I gave it a run. I simply sprayed my phone and didn’t think about it. And I was pleased with the end results - less smudging and streaks. My screen remained smooth and oh so glossy, looking all brand new, weeks after an application. As for the hygiene part, well I don’t have anything that would help me test if there was “stuff” lurking on my phone, so I’m just gonna take the company’s word on it. I do feel less hesitant handing my phone over to someone since I've recieved the Screen Shine product. So that’s a step in the right direction. Finally, it’s really inexpensive; I mean 100 sprays with the Pocket for 5.99 isn’t all that bad actually. So it’s cheap, it does what it says and when you own one, you’ll be all about Tech Hygiene. Whoosh! Screen Shine, I’d say you've just made my cool book.
The Slack:
I get that it cleans the screens. And depending on your device, it can also clean around it as well. Thought I would suggest not doing that because it would make your device to slippery. I do hope the Whoosh! gang is tinkering on such a spray that you can use around the phone as well as the screen.
