Catalyst Impact Protection Case (Samsung Galaxy Note 9) Review

Hey gang, Valkor here. And we’re back with another choice nugget from the world that is Pepcom; I’m not unfamiliar with the gang at Catalyst as we’ve already done a run on their case for the iPhone 8 Plus. But they’re back at TOV for round two with their Impact Protection Case for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Will it hold up like the others? Absolutely! Is it worth your investment dollars? Let’s find out!

Catalyst’s Impact Protection Case is similar to that of the 8 Plus in that it features a clear back to let those colors shine through. However, the cases differ in that you won’t find the little volume wheel on the side like with the 8 Plus case. The second difference is that Note case doesn’t have all-around bumpers; rather the lip at the top and bottom of the case protrude just enough that it keeps the front screen from touching most surfaces. Finally, the case features all of the important port openings, including one for the pen. And of course, you get your button coverage too.

With the Note 9 Catalyst Impact case, I kept the testing to a minimum, since it’s my own phone that would be taking the abuse rather than a dummy phone. And this thing is the most expensive device in the Val-Cave (so far). So, along with screen protection, the smartphone survived every drop, bump, and even travel bumps that I could toss at it. Well done!

The Bang:

If you’ve recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, wincing at the cost of it all the way, then you’d be doing yourself a HUGE favor in picking up the Catalyst Impact for this brand. The phone is an expensive piece no doubt, so you’ll want the best protection you can get. And you can do no wrong in getting a Catalyst Impact case, which offers up solid protection against simple bumps, scrapes, and stumbles that you may experience throughout your days. And in the end your device will continue to shine. The buttons are easily accessible and there’s no stiffness when pressing them. Finally, if you own a QI pad, you’ll find no issues charging the Note 9 wirelessly when it’s wrapped with a Catalyst Case. You might stumble when trying to make a connection… at least in my case, I usually do. Hey, I don’t always hit the target every time! But it will connect and that’s all that matters. In the end, if you’re looking for the perfect case to pair with your device, then I highly recommend the Catalyst Impact case for the Note 9, or any of the newer phones out on the market today.

So, out of TOV 5 stars, I’m giving The Catalyst Impact Case for the Note 9 a perfect 5.
