TOV briefly covered Lasonic back at CES 2005. Back then they had this great DVD player with a add-on hard drive that allows you to watch all your downloaded movies without really having to transfer the item onto another medium. Just download the material directly to the HDD, slap that HDD into the DVD player and BOOM! You’re off! This year they still had the player on hand along with some new nifty items. Nothing was running really, but there are a couple of items that are worth mentioning. The PMP 090 is a sleek little media player. The VP-512K/ VP-01GK also looks to impress and goes up against other flash players such as Samsungs YP series or Sandisk Sansa series. Lastly Lasonic has a host of boom box radios, mini MP3 players and more. Again I am only judging by looks so, but everything looked great. However I can’t give it a big score because hey I didn’t see it in action. Hopefully in the coming months TOV will get their hands on some review units for a full on trial.
