Hey gang, Valkor here. With the holiday season fast approaching, the time has come to seek out that special gift for your significant other or for that special someone in your life. Trying to find something unique might be a difficult task, but after venturing into NYC last week, I may have found the object that's perfect in the form of a scented candle. But Val, scented candles aren't all that unique, what's so special about these? How about the chance to score a little extra something worth ten thousand dollars? Yea, I know right! And that's why I took on this adventure to meet with the ladies of Bella J. to get the real scoop on what you might adorn under your tree this year.
Bella J. scented candles are the love creation of two gorgeous women – Jennifer de Klaver and Jennifer Worthington, who look to explode onto the marketplace with their unique idea. I'll admit, I went to this event more out of curiosity than anything else. I mean a candle containing a ten thousand dollar necklace? To simply be given away? You ladies... "you had my curiosity. Now you have my attention".
Bella J. candles currently come in 8 delicious scents, each not just a solid scent but a mixture of aromas combined to form something special and given a catchy name to boot: Rose Berry, Surf Shack, Hip Hop Hooray, Sugar Rush, Tye Die, Very Berry, Snow Ball, and Main Squeeze. Main Squeeze was the winner for me, which I thought was Mango but it turned out to be a Citrus mixture of grapefruit, pineapple, and passion fruit.
Now the jewelry contained within the candle wax can either be a charm bracelet or a necklace, and the item can only be obtained once the wax has melted down; kinda like when you have to eat your way through a crackerjack box to get the surprise – but don't eat the candle, no matter how delicious it smells. The cost of the candle is 24.95, but the jewelry within can go as low as the cost of the candle (or I believe its 40 bucks), to as high as $1,000 with the highest piece of jewelry going for 10K (one in every ten thousand can get it).
Bella J. Scented Candles wouldn't be something we'd normally cover here on the site. However given the fact that we guys could use any edge we can get to turn any occasion to our "advantage", then why not?
