Hey gang, Valkor here. If you're like me and cooking is not your thing, then I may have just the tech that will answer all of our prayers. Enter new company into the Val-Cave, Dreo, and their latest air fryer the Chefmaker Combi Fryer. It will not only improve your ability to cook, but the food you prepare will be equally delicious and extraordinarily satisfying. Check it out!

The Dreo Chefmaker is a 6-quart air fryer that takes the combined powers of food scientists and Michelin star chefs to create a product that is next level in cooking. Taken from the company's website, what the Chefmaker does is – CombiCook technology translates the technique of master chefs into an algorithm that senses and controls temperature, moisture, and cooking time to make every meal a culinary masterpiece. The Chefmaker comes with two trays – one for general cooking along with a second tray for grilling. Finally, you get a probe that will keep track of your food temperatures during the cooking process. I went in with some hesitation on how to get things started. But once I started to dive in, the rest was easy!

First, there are four modes available on the Chefmaker: Chef Mode, Classic Cook, Probe Cook, and Favorites. Chef Mode is my go-to and you'll need it because this feature will make whatever you cook memorable! Basically, Chef Mode walks you through the cooking process of whatever it is you want to prepare. I started out with chicken wings. And Chef Mode step by step walked me through the cooking process. Chef Mode will also alert you if you need to complete a step if you missed something, such as failing to fill the water tank or even if it is not properly filled. It even let me know there was too much chicken in the cooking tank. So, I had to do another round. My first worry, once my wings were finished cooking, was that they might not be fully cooked (check image below). But when I took that first bite... oh momma were they so delicious! The skin was crisp, the meat was tender and juicy, and the taste was better than I had expected!

Next, I thought I'd give the steak a try, which means I'd have to use the grill tray and the probe. Again, Chef Mode walks you through the process, asking you what type of meat it was and how you wanted it prepared (rare, medium rare, well done). There was one hiccup I ran into when cooking the steak. It's funny, the timer ended a few minutes after it started. I'll admit that I used the Chefmaker maybe thirty minutes or so after I made the chicken. Maybe. However, after I repeated the procedure, Chefmaker proceeded to cook my steak as intended. And once again, not only did the Chef Maker nail my medium rare steak, the taste was incredible! The outside was nice and crispy, but the inside was pink enough to my liking and so, so juicy!

Other items on the test menu were french fries, Kobe beef burgers, shrimp, and chicken legs. I'm not going to delve too deep with these items. But I will say everything turned out amazing! Now I'm dying to try other items such as baked goods like cinnamon rolls and even a big cookie! I'll update this piece once I get around to that. I must, however, inform you that Classic Mode can be used to prepare the majority of things. Here you can use traditional settings to prepare any number of foods. My apologies, I don't have pictures of my shrimp (I ate them with quickness), but I used Classic Mode to cook them with positive and delicious results.

Finally, there's a downloadable app for Android or iOS to use alongside the Chefmaker called the Dreo App. Once you're connected, the app uses Smart Control to keep track of your cooking and notify you when it's finished or if there are any steps you missed. In my case, it let me know when I needed to use the probe. You can also step away from the kitchen and the app will alert you when the food is done. Another app feature is Kitchen+; This opens up a world of recipes, tips, and info that's helpful in your cooking journey with the Chefmaker. There are tons of great ideas within. And I'll be trying some of them out in the near future.

Ultimately, what do I think of Dreo's Chefmaker Combi Fryer? I've said it before in this review and I'll say it again - The Chefmaker is next level when it comes to cooking with air fryers. Chef Mode is your best cooking companion, regardless of your level of experience, since it eliminates the difficulties in preparing the ideal chicken, beef, or steak so that you don't produce a dish that is disappointing. Straight out of the box, it's so easy to use. So far, there isn't a meat the Chefmaker can't handle. Clean-up was also easy as the trays and bucket took a simple bath and wipe down and were ready to go another round. The food the Chefmaker churned out was delicious! The sample pics I'm posting don't do the air fryer justice. Everything came out cooked to perfection! I was beyond impressed not only with the tech but with the outcome as well. Dreo, you have one hell of an air fryer on your hands. And I hope you guys out there get the chance to experience what the Chefmaker can do. You will not be disappointed!
