Hey folks, Valkor here, just catchin my breath after a few days scopin out some of the latest and newest games at this year’s E3. I don’t normally cover food, but since this particular snack applies directly to gaming, I thought “what the heck, let’s give it a try”. So without further ado, I give you: Gamer Grub brought to you from the mind of Keith Mullin (and friends).
According to the press release:
“the first performance snack scientifically formulated to enhance cognitive functions for gamers”
What does this mean? I guess it’s like brain food, stimulating the mind to help you perform better, think smarter, and achieve your gaming goals all the while enjoying a nutritious snack. Right now Gamer Grub comes in two varieties: PB & J (Peanutbutter and Jelly) and Pizza. The packing looks great and it’s easy to pour what you want right into your mouth, without having to waste time digging in a bowl, wiping off the crumbs; those are precious seconds lost when you use them kickin ass. SO after sittin back in the Gamer Grub “VIP Lounge” and having a nice chat with Keith and Co, what do I ultimately think of Gamer Grub?
The Good
They’re fucking delicious! Pizza is zesty, crunchy, with a lot of flavor. In fact Keith had me do a side by side comparison of actual pizza vs Gamer Grub Pizza and honestly… you really can’t tell the difference. GG Pizza captures the zestyness and spicyness of a real pizza, right down to the tomato and crust. The PB&J, while not as crunchy as the pizza, is sweet and delicious almost like eating a real PB&J sandwich. The strawberry bits throw it off a bit, but it’s still quite a treat. Two products not out yet, but were available for tasting at E3 was Wasabi, which is truly delicious, but I’m bias as I love wasabi, and I love the blend of wasabi peas and peanuts with the sesame sticks, almonds and fried onions. It’s just enough wasabi in it that it bites, but not too much that it blows your mind. Then there’s Chocolate, it’s sweet, delicious and very chocolaty but I’d toss in some peanuts. But that’s just me I love Reese’s Pieces and Peanut M&M’s. Hopefully the Wasabi makes it out on the market; I think it’s something everyone must try.

Gamer Grub has captured my gaming heart and gaming taste buds; If there’s ever the perfect snack food made for gamers this is it. And a perfect snack deserves a perfect score. Out of 5 TOV stars, I’m giving Gamer Grub 5 stars. And it’s been Valkor tested and TOV Approved.
Wait hold your horses. It hasn’t been 100% TOV approved. At the time of writing this, only one member of TOV was around to try out Gamer Grub, Epic-1. Along with a handful of my co-workers I let them scarf down on these delicious snacks and hands down PB&J wins; the guys practically licked the bag, saving me only two nuts in the end. (Har! Har! Har!), while the Pizza they felt packed too much flavor, unlike a real pizza. Me thinks we need to do the side by side test that was given to me.
