Hey gang, Valkor here. Season four of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle CGI series is well underway. But for those who might be behind, or missed out on season three entirely, then really all you need is this one box set right here from Nickelodeon and Paramount Home, TMNT: Revenge 2-disc DVD set. And it’s quite possibly the best DVD set to date!

The four mean green are going through some tough times: Donnie is still working on a formula to cure Karai, not only of her mutation, but also to get rid of this new green worm that resides within that controls her mind. Not only that but the crew have a bunch of new (and old) mutants to deal with, plus they have to deal with a new threat that looks to destroy the earth. But in order to defeat this new foe, they’ll have to form an alliance with their deadliest enemy. This two disc set contains the final 12 episodes of season three of the series and highlights include:

The Noxious Avenger: As the Ninja Turtles battle it out with Beebop and Rocksteady, some mutagen is spilled, landing on a lowly garbage man who then turns into “Muckman”. But is he friend or foe?
Meet Mondo Gecko – Mikey and Casey meet a new mutant - Mondo Gecko, whilst getting their skate on around the city. But Casey has his doubts about their new friend. And his doubts turn out to be warranted as the duo finds out that Mondo works for a guy named Mr. X, who turns out to be one of Shredder’s henchmen – Fishface. Cool points for grabbing Robbie Rist from the original TMNT live-action film (voice of Mikey) to bring his totally awesome vocals onboard for Mondo. And if you haven’t seen it yet, seek out the “Casey Jones” short film, where Robbie reprises his TMNT role.
The Creeping Doom – Against Donny’s wishes, Mikey fools around in his lab, accidentally spilling some mutagen that sees the return of not only The Creep, but also a foe from season one – Snakeweed. But when the two combine to form Creepweed… things really get out of control and the Big Apple is in big trouble!
Annihilation Earth Parts One and Two (Valkor Favorite) – With the Triceratons on their way, the turtles, along with Casey, April and a Kraang known as Bishop, attempt to put down the now working Technodrome, before the dinos arrive to destroy earth. In part two, the turtles gather both friend and foe to help stop earth deadliest threat. FYI, if you haven’t already seen this episode, it's ending is... like wow!

Features on the disc include “The Mutations of a Scene”, twelve shorts in total and a sneak peek at Season four. But trust me, with what’s going down in this set, you won’t have time or even bother with those extras.

The Good:
TMNT: Revenge, I have to say, this was without a doubt one of – if not, THE best TMNT sets I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing. You get a great mix of action and comedy with some drama tossed in, plus it’s darker in terms of who (or what) the turtles have to face and what happens to certain characters that you seriously wouldn’t expect. Annihilation Earth sets the bar pretty high as it really pushes the envelope for what is essentially a kid’s show, but it’ll have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. And that ending? Wow! Just wow! It was so unexpected and yet in relation to the character involved, it's totally expected. I was impressed that the show went so far, but I certainly glad they took it there. In the end, if you’re familiar with TMNT but haven’t checked out much of the new series, then picking up Revenge is a great way to start off. But if you’re new to the series, starting from the beginning isn’t a bad idea, but starting off with Revenge is also an awesome way to begin.

The Bad:
N/A

The Ugly:
Muckman – oof! Also seeing Cragnar enters a giant rockman’s b-hole!

The lulz:
If you're a fan of Ghostbusters, you'll definitely get the nod here.

TMNT: Revenge will be available on Dec. 1st and it’s definitely worth picking up as it continues the awesomeness of the series, upping the action and laughs with an ending that’ll leave you breathless and wanting more! I highly recommend it. And out of TOV 5 stars, I’m giving Revenge a perfect 5!
