Hey folks, Valkor here. Last year, as part of my 30 in 30, I reviewed an adult film that wowed the geek in me called "Batman XXX: A Porn Parody". I didn't know that before that time and since then, there have been numerous parodies based on popular televisions – I mean I've always known about the movie "parodies", but a porno based on a television series was unheard of. Well the folks at "Full Spread Entertainment" (lulz) have taken the parodies to the next level, but doing what I thought couldn't ever possibly be done – make a porno parody of "The Simpsons". I give you "Simpsons XXX: A porn Parody".
To quote a line from another popular series, you may have heard it, it's called " South Park" – Simpsons did it!! (Oh yes… they do it!).
Simpson's XXX, at the very beginning, hits you off with some laughs as Homer (You can't see his face but you know its him), passes off a video tape starring himself and Marge for a bag of donuts. What proceeds thereafter are the contents of said tape that was filmed using Ned Flanders's camera. You'll see series favorites such as Homer, Marge, Moe the bartender, Cookie Kwan, McBain, and even Ned Flanders makes a slight appearance. The live-action cast members are coated in yellow and are presented as close to the original animated cast as possible.
A couple of details that should be noted – Homer never speaks on camera, Barney makes a vocal appearance, no Simpson's children are present (thankfully), and there are no intermixing of the characters. So if you expect Moe and Marge to get it on or a freaky yellow orgy involving the town, well… it ain't happening.
So we have comic books, video games, a feature film, and numerous product placements, with this adult film, I think the show has truly reached a point where the series has truly been saturated. I know FOX, Matt Groening, and everyone else responsible for the TV show don't endorse this film, but even they have to admit this is impressive and quite ballsy to say the least. It's one thing to porn-poardy Adam West's Batman, that was campy to begin with. But to parody a series as iconic as The Simpsons? You're either gonna make a lot of people very happy or piss a lot of people off. Thankfull I'm in that happy crowd. I do have one question: are the performers seriously painted yellow or is this a camera trick? And with that, let's jump into the TOV Breakdown!
First congrats once to whomever is responsible for the cast as well as design of the performers who've portrayed the Simpsons's cast perfectly. Seriously the attention to detail, at least for the performers, not the set pieces, were done quite well. And I don't care what anyone says, that's Dan Castellaneta as the voice of Homer in this film (the credits say Josh Thomas, but I don't think so). Why? For one thing, his lines are obviously pre-recorded, right down to his sexual moans and the dude sounds too much like Homer to be considered to be anyone else. James Deen who plays Robin in the Bat film parody, does a hell of a job as Moe the Bartender. He nearly matches the voice and mannerisms of the character to a "T". Finally in the "acting" department, I gotta give props to Evan Stone (who played The Riddler in the Bat film) for his portrayal of McBain; again another great performance with some nice chuckles tossed in. And other than the sex, I thought the jokes were spot on funny. In between "scenes" I chuckled a few times, especially at Homer's "Prime Rib-Estate".
Asia Zo, you're beautiful, sexy, and just grrrr-wow! But as Cookie Kwan, I was more annoyed and fast-forwarded past your talking scenes right to the good parts. Why? I didn't care for the voice. I thought the Cookie Kwan of the show had more zip, more bite to her voice, Asia's Cookie (no pun intended), just came off as flat. Now I know I'll get some heat for that because "it's a porno and why should I care?" Well… I care dammit! Oh and just like with the Batman parody, I'll say it again – the sex scenes needed to be cut down. The film doesn't have to be so long. Or even if it does, why not use the time to squeeze in an extra character or two. Why no Chief Wiggum? Professor Frink? Lenny and Carl? OMG NO LENNY OR CARL! How funny would they have been in this film?
N/A (wait… what??)
The real deal Homer Simpson
Overall Simpsons XXX: A Porn Parody, I thought it was a fun film with spot on performances based off of Matt Groening's creations. You can get your copy today (adults only), and if you're a fan of the series you might find some "pleasure" in it. And out of TOV 5 stars, I'll give the Simpsons Parody a 3.5. Now, where is that Family Guy XXX Parody? You know it's gonna happen!
