Hey gang, Valkor here. And I'm gonna take a little bit of a film break to check in with some TechGear. When you're out looking for that perfect case for your smartphone, do you look for style or protection? If you're looking for style, then the folks at Cygnett have a few unique set of cases, great for those looking for something original - the "Icon Art series" for iPhone 4s/5.

With the Icon Art series, it's all about the look. And to help rein this set in, Cygnett looked to three of some of the world's talented artists to great some amazing, eye fetching cases: Ronnie Tjampitjinp (Echidna, Rain Making), Nathan Jurevicius (Haven, Chihoohoo's Tea Party, Underwater House, Hootsville), and TATS CRU (The Bronx, Quiet Storm). Each case features the artists' unique style that's exclusive only to this series; the image stretches completely across the back and along the sides. The cases have a snap on fit creating a rear shell for your phone, which will do a great job of protecting the back against minor scratches, but you'll need some additional assist for the front (screen protectors included).

While I mentioned quite a few cases up there, we here at TOV got to check out Haven and Rain Making for the iPhone 5. Haven by Nathan Jurevicius is my personal favorite of all the cases because of the fantasy elements, imaginative and warm design. Plus I'm a huge fan of birds, so that makes it a definite win in my book. Rain Making offers up a nice black/white nesting squares design; stare at it long enough and it'll make you dizzy. But it's definitely eye-popping and gorgeous.

Some of the designs are limited to certain cases; if you're looking at the iPhone 5, there's only four designs available - Haven, Rain Making, Echidna, and the Bronx. The other designs can be found on the iPhone 4s and iPod Touch 5th Generation.

The Bang:
The Icon Art Series is all about style; they make for great cases if you're just heading out for a casual night on the town. And you'll definitely turn some heads when people catch a glimpse of the case. The colors are bold, the images are sharp and crystal clear and the designs are unique and very imaginative. While the cases offers little in terms of protection at the front of your smartphone, Cygnett does include screen protectors (mentioned above), so you won't need to worry about minor scratches all around. In short, the Icon Art series are beautiful cases that one should definitely add to their collection.

The Slack:
Offers minimal to little protection against serious drops, so if you're snagging one of these cases, hang on tight to your phone.

Cygnett's Icon Art Series offers up a pretty impressive set of cases for your iPhone 4s/5 that look amazing wrapped around your smartphone and will definitely stand out amongst a crowd. So click that logo to the right and get yours today, I highly reccomend it. And out of TOV 5 stars, I'm giving the Icon Art Series a 4.5 and they've been Valkor tested, TOV approved.
