• Tech Armor Active Series and FlexProtect Review

Hey gang, Valkor here. This Christmas, a lot of you will be asking the big guy aka Santa for a smartphone, but more specifically one of the more popular phones on the market – The iPhone 6. And I’m being that specific because a new company has entered the cave showing of its cases – Tech Armor. And they're looking to provide your new iDevice with the protection that it needs, providing TOV with two cases that might be of interest. Check it out its Tech Armor's Active Series and FlexProtect.

Tech Armor Ative and FlectProtect

First up is the Active Series; made with a polycarbonate material, the Active Series provides the best protection for those who lead an “active” lifestyle, whether you’re a jogger, a gym junkie or just plain clumsy (like me). It’s safe from drops (just not too high), scratch resistant and it has raised edges around the screen offering up minor protection in that area. The phone fits well within the confines of the casing with no obstruction to the camera and pressing the power and volume buttons showed to be no problem.

Next is the FlexProtect, which is more about showing off the look of your smartphone with some limited protection. The FlexProtect hugs the iPhone 6 around the edges with a clear, scratch resistant cover for the back. The case also features the raised lip around the front to protect the screen from minor face drops. And just like the Active Series, pressing buttons proved to be no issue and there was no blockage of the camera.

It’s always fun playing with new cases yet at the same time a little scary, especially when toying around with products from a company untested. But that’s what Val-cave testing is all about – putting products to the test without fear. And after putting Tech Armor’s cases through the works, I’m ready to render my verdict in the TOV Breakdown.

The Bang:

Tech Armor’s Val-Cave visit has proven quite successful as the Active Series amd FlexProtect passed with flying colors. With The Active Series, it’s all about durability and after a few bangs and some minor drops, the test phone we used survived its beating, though there was some fear that there would be damage – I did beat this one up pretty badly. But all fears were alleviated as the Active Series case proved its worth. Now with the FlexProtect, it not only does a pretty good job with minor drops, but the crystal clear back, it shows off the cool metal casing of the iPhone (pic below very related). Both cases travel well, slip in and out of my pocket with ease and offer up solid protection against daily bumps and bruising. While Tech Armor doesn’t have the unique absorption properties as Tech 21 products, they still shield your phone from costly damages all the same. Great job!
