Hey folks, Valkor here. Though summer is winding down, the temps are still on high. So to cool things a bit, the folks at Paramount Home are releasing their latest "Fanboy and Chum Chum" DVD to chill things a bit. This latest compilation, "Brain Freeze", is chock full of cool and laughs. Check it out!

Just a quick recap, Fanboy and Chum Chum is a CGI cartoon series shown on Nickelodeon that centers on two boys, who love all things comic book and sci-fi - Fanboy and Chum Chum. The two are mostly known for getting into all sorts of mischief while wearing superhero costumes with their underwear on teh outside. The latest DVD, Fanboy and Chum Chum "Brain Freeze" introduces seven new vids on a single disc DVD, which follows a single theme centered on the boys favorite summertime drink – Frosty Freezy Freeze. Featuring an awesome voice cast that includes Jamie Kennedy and Josh Duhamel, Fanboy and Chum Chum is just the cure for the summertime blues. Highlights include:

Brain Freeze – The boys have a "Hangover Moment" when they drink way too much of their favorite frosty drink only to wake up the next day with a serious case of brain freeze, not being able to remember what happened the night before, and they can't find their underwear! They'll backtrack the previous evening's events to locate that which gives them superpowers.
Jingle Fever – The boys have a chance at winning one million bucks with their hit jingle… but not if Lenny, the Frosty Mart manager has anything to say about it.

The Frosty Bus – The Frosty Bus has come to town and the boys can't wait to get their hands on their favorite drink. But with Boog doing the driving, he's making it difficult for Fanboy and Chum Chum to get their frosty drink on.
Refill Madness – Lenny and Boog learn that Fanboy and Chum Chum are in possession of a cup that gives them unlimited refills. So the duo will try their best to get the cup before the boys realize what they have.

You only get one extra this time around, which is an animatic for "Brain Freeze" and of course you get a bunch of trailers just before the main event. Other than that let's see if the second time around is just as good as the first in the TOV Breakdown!

The Good: If you're looking for some laughs, then Fanboy and Chum Chum's Brain Freeze is full of it… laughs I mean. I was surprised with the first DVD, so no surprise here Brain Freeze is actually just as good. No wait, I find that it's better than the first DVD. And the actual episode "Brain Freeze", which is a hilarious Hangover parody, puts it over the top. Sure it's a short seven episode run, but all in all you're gonna be entertained and that is what's most important.

The Bad:
It's only seven episodes. And I complained about the last set being 8. Yea I know it's following a theme, but toss in an extra episode or two will ya?

The Ugly:
N/A

You can pick up Fanboy and Chum Chum Brain Freeze DVD on Aug. 16th along with your favorite Frosty Freezy Freeze type beverage (make mine frozen Snapple) to beat the summer heat. Though it's a short seven episode run, it does pack a ton of laughs. And out of TOV 5 stars, I give Brain Freeze a 4 and it's been Valkor Viewed, TOV Approved.

Valkor out!
